A slow start

I had a slow start into the new year, on more levels than just creativity. And for the first time it doesn’t bother me. I feels like an enrichment.

After having about 20 cm of snow, which is rare where I live, we now have foggy weather. The low temperatures freeze the mist in the trees and bushes and that looks magical. The fog still has another effect on me; It is as if the world is smaller because of this, and I withdraw more into myself as a natural process. I give myself permission to experiment, meanwhile trusting that it does my creativity good. I go through older journals and magazines to discover inspiration. I’m embracing this slow start as an important part of the creative process.
